Office Hours

I see clients in my home office, Downtown Nanaimo, Monday to Friday with the last session booked at 5:30.

 

Length of sessions

I usually meet with clients for a full sixty minutes session. If we work with a specific traumatic incident we may choose to do one and a half hour session. With couples, I often recommend one and a half hour session.

 

Fees

$90 per hour (+GST). Some extended health care plans provide coverage for therapy with a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

 

Duration of Therapy

Length of therapy depends on many factors. When we meet for our first session, we start by establishing specific goals, which then helps get a sense of the duration of therapy. As a therapist, I feel equally at ease within a short term and a longer term model.  Most of the time I recommend weekly sessions but once you are on your way to reaching your goals, we may decide to space out our sessions. Some clients find they need a longer time between appointments for homework assignments, reflection and integration. I am here to facilitate the changes you need in your life in the way that works best for you.
